Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet 2021 is carried out as an elite race (only elite skiers that have an active FIS license). Participating in the competition is at your own risk.
Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure
For those skiers who are not elite skiers and who have registered for the race 2021, we offer the “Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure”, which is not a competition. The Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet arena is open on March 27-28 for those who are registered for the Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet 2021, but are not elite skiers.
Participating in the Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure is at your own risk.
Starting opportunity from Jokkmokk between kl. 5.30 and 8 on 27 March.
There is staff at all controls along the track and you get the same food and drinks as the elite skiers.
Skiers who cover the distance of 220 km receive diploma and medal.
If you do not want to participate in the Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure 2021, we offer you to move your ticket to the race 2022 free of charge. Note: You must notify us that you want to move your ticket to 2022 no later than 28 February by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Q: What does it take to participate in the elite race?
A: You must be an elite skier according to your national Ski Association’s definition and you must have an active FIS license.
Q: When do I last have to indicate if I have an active FIS license?
A: If you have not entered your FIS number in connection with the registration, you must send your FIS code no later than 28 February to email@example.com.
Q: What happens if I am not elite skier and do not have an active FIS license?
A: If you are not an elite skier and do not choose to shift your ticket to 2022, your ticket is automatically moved to Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure 2021.
Q: I want to move my registration to 2022 free of charge. How do I do it and when should I do it last?
A: You must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we must have received the information no later than 28 February.
Q: Is Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure a competition?
A: No, Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure is not a competition.
Q: Do I get a medal and diploma if I participate in the Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure?
A: If you complete the entire distance within a maximum of 30 hours, you will receive a diploma. You get the Pavva Lasse medal if you complete the Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure at a maximum of 21 hours 22 minutes.
Q: As the starting area is moved from Purkijaur to Jokkmokk, is the distance the same as before?
A: Yes, we will adjust the course so that the distance will be 220 km as before.
Q: Do I get the same service – timing, food, drinks, medical care, change of clothes, etc. if I participate in Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure?
A: Yes, there is staff at all 19 checkpoints along the course until the last skier has passed. You get the same service as those who participate in the elite competition. You get double timekeeping transponders for safety reasons and a vest with your name on it.
Q: At the checkpoints, will I be able to get help from race officials with drinks and food?
A: As in previous years, there will be drinks and food at the controls. But you must take everything yourself from the boards. To keep their distance according to corona restrictions, our volunteers can´t help taking your food and drinks at the controls.
Q: Do I have to carry the transponders during the race?
A: Yes, for safety reasons, you should carry the transponders. It registers where you are on the track.
Since large parts of the track run through wilderness areas, this is very important for your safety.
Q: Do I get the same waxing services if I participate in the Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure?
Does the waxing package that I have booked apply?
A: Yes, you get the same basic services along the course. If you have booked one of our SkiGo waxing packages, you will get exactly the services that are included in the package.
Q: Is it possible to follow the race on site in Jokkmokk?
A: No, because of Covid19 no audience is allowed. This applies to the entire competition arena.
Q: Is it possible to quit even if I participate in Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure?
A: Yes, it is possible to quit the race at all checkpoints along the track. Transport with snowmobiles and minibuses back to Jokkmokk is available along the entire track.
Q: What is the maximum time for Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet Adventure?
A: A maximum time of 30 hours applies.
Q: Do I get food after finishing?
A: Due to Covid19, we do not serve food. You will instead receive a snack bag immediately after the finish. In addition, you get a coupon worth SEK 120. The coupon can be used at restaurants and cafés in Jokkmokk.
Q: When there are no showers at the competition center. Where can I shower after the race?
A: Unfortunately, due to Covid19 safety rules, we cannot offer public showers this year.
